Design Interventions

  • Redesigned to consolidate the cooling load into a single chiller plant room instead of three separate ones.
  • Interconnected the air-cooled chiller plant in block 3 with the water-cooled chiller plant.
  • Shifted the load of dedicated air-cooled chillers for biomedical equipment to the central plant.
  • Transitioned from diesel to electric-based hot water and steam systems.
  • Moved from fixed to dynamic air and water flow controls.
  • Distributed tertiary pumping systems to optimize pressure delivery.
  • Retrofitted the laundry dryer panel to address existing design flaws.

Equipment Interventions

  • Replaced HVAC pumps to double efficiency.

  • Installed several energy-efficient features, including 2 condenser pumps, a heat pump, 4225 energy-efficient LEDs, 350 BLDC fans, 3 electric boilers, energy-efficient kitchen burners, floodlights, and laundry dryers.
  • Implemented Hydromax for better heat pump efficiency.

  • Increased the frequency of energy consumption analysis from once per month to once per minute.
  • Deployed the DeJoule suite of solutions.
  • Integrated DeJoule to enhance the capabilities of the existing Honeywell BMS.
  • Implemented dynamic controls of critical equipment based on custom, evolving logic.
  • Optimized chilled water set points dynamically based on changing load.
